During our trip to Malaysia, we stopped by in one of its famous coffee shops – the Old Town Cafe in Bangsar South. For a coffee lover like me, I can’t just let the opportunity pass without trying the infamous Old Town.
I have nothing to say but good things about the place. The interior is huge, the ambiance is cozy, and the food is great. We also specifically liked their very efficient way of serving their patrons: they have this buzzer on the table that you can press whenever you need something, then they will give you a menu and an order slip which essentially contains the basics of ordering: quantity, dish, etc. The service is complete and they are warm with their customers which we really liked the most.
I wish I could have a box of this Old Town White Coffee. I remember, I would always tell my friend in Malaysia to never forget bringing me Old Town Coffee. I could consume one bag in less than five days! Yes, this is how I am addicted to their coffee.
Mr. Yellow got a BBQ Chicken Dry Egg Noodles (08.87 MYR). The curry sauce, the potato, and the chicken blended too well to create this deliciously good dish.
I got a Minced Chicken Dry Egg Noodle (12.83 MYR) for myself. This bowl perfectly suites me since I was a bit apprehensive about curry food at first.
For the LittleYellowTraveler, he got a bowl of Chicken Wings with Egg (10.28 MYR). He really enjoyed it since it looked like an instant “pancit canton” with toppings.
Finally, I would never forget this intoxicating Cold Nanyang (3.77 MYR). For a coffee lover like me, everything is of equal importance: the quality of the beans, how well the beans are roasted, the aroma, and the taste. I got them all in one glass, and since I liked my coffee to be especially black – this was like a coffee made in heaven for me!
They also offer Western food that are especially appealing to foreigners and kids. We were munching on these Fresh Potato Fries (5.28 MYR) while waiting for our other orders.
There was an irresistible munchkin on my side!
These boys were really not cooperative in their poses.
My equally adorable boys!
We had our share of crazy moments inside while we waited for our orders. Old Town is indeed a comfortable stop for every coffee lover.
