It has been a while since YTB posted a food entry. We are now back with more food and travel stories, so enjoy and savor every YTB moments friends!
I just visited this place in Burgos Street, Makati Avenue with my colleagues and we all had the same word to say: “value for money”. Filling Station looks like a historic 1950’s diner place in the US with posters, oil barrel, telephone, radio, and stuff resembling the 50’s era.
Several dishes here were named after cars and oil companies to embody a filling station. But what is important is, when hunger pangs strike, Filling Station is definitely a YTB recommended place to go.
At filling station, you can choose from a HUGE variety of food options: starters, breakfast, soup and salad, pizza and pasta, Filipino favorites, desserts, beverages, and their own specialty food.
By the way, the food at filling station comes in a hefty serving, so if you are planning to eat a sizzling bulalo for example, you better have the appetite of an elephant! But kidding aside, here are some of the food options you may want to try:
Presley Pasta at 558 PHP. It comes with a well-seasoned steak and a bread
Crispy Pata at 688 PHP. This dish would not only satisfy your craving but would really give you the definition of a “food coma”
Tinapa Rice at 278 PHP. Imagine this paired with a sizzling bulalo or a crispy pata? FOOD OVERLOAD!
Four for All at 398 PHP. It’s a platter of buffalo wings, calamari, potato skins, and shanghai rolls. I personally love this since it includes all my favorites.
Also, you should never leave this place without trying their plain cheesecake – unpretentious and small, but so good!
The place in general is very spacious, it has its own quirks, and open to fill you 24/7.
As I swallowed the last bite of cheesecake, I couldn’t help but utter to myself: “oh Filling Station, you are indeed filling me softly with your delightful foods.”
